EASY COMPANY NEWS:
Recent Events:
June 6-8, 2008 – Easy Company successfully participated in the Reading Airshow, Reading, PA.
Upcoming Events:
July 18 -19, 2008 – Easy Company will be supporting a tactical field training/exercise in Windsor, VT. Led by 2nd Lt Pete Coombs and SSgt Lynn Kessler, members of 1st Platoon will be reinforcing their Squad/Platoon tactics. All members of the Company are welcome to attend.
July 25-27, 2008 – Members of 2nd Platoon will be conducting a training and maintenance weekend in Leesburg, VA. All members of the Company are welcome to attend.
Sept 13, 2008 – Members of Easy Company will be supporting the Airpower Museum on Long Island. A group of troopers will be participating in C-47 flights as well as some public displays to educate Long Islanders on the history of E/506 and the 101st Airborne. Rumor has it that HQ/501st vet John Primerano may attend!
Sept 19-21, 2008 – Easy Company will be participating in the “Keep’em Rolling” Convoy to Ike’s Farm. In addition to the convoy tactical this will be a full-length living history event.

Thoughts and Prayers:
Sincerest condolences go out to the Alley, Clark and Rhinehart/Case family on the passing of their loved ones. We lost Moe Alley and Max Clark on 14 March and Charles Rhinehart on the 31st of March.

Congrats!
Congrats also go out to Buck Compton and Don Malarkey on the resounding success of their memoirs. Buck’s book is titled; Call of Duty and Don’s book, Easy Company Soldier: The Endless Combat of a Sergeant from World War II's "Band of Brothers" are flying off the shelves. Both are wonderful reads.
Lastly, there will be two other E/506 books coming out in the future:
Easy Company, 506th PIR in Photographs from Genesis Publications (LINK) and another book from Buck Compton’s coauthor, Marcus Brotherton. Marcus’ book is in the primary editing phase and has a working title of The Men of Easy Company (LINK).
Our Reading Guests:
First and foremost Easy Company was honored that John Primerano (Wire Section/HQ/501st PIR) was able to stay with us at Reading. John was a real trooper and gutted it out despite the heat and was a crowd and E Company favorite all weekend.
In addition to John, we had a number of vets come through and stay with us for varying amounts of time. Here’s the list of vets we were able to spend time with:
